Rooted in mission. Built to deliver.
Greetings! I'm Brittney Crawford, MHA, founder and principal consultant of The Brittney Agency (DBA), a boutique business strategy, management consulting, and fractional COO firm built specifically for healthcare, public health, and human services organizations. However, I did not start out wanting to be a consultant; I started out wanting to fix broken systems.
Over a decade ago, I began my career at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) on the front lines of behavioral health units as a therapeutic assistant, then progressed through bed management coordination, hospital staffing operations, ending my tenure with federally funded cancer disparities research, and high-stakes program and events coordination at Hollings Cancer Center (an NCI-designated research center). Along the way, I earned my Master of Health Administration and watched the same pattern repeat everywhere I worked: brilliant, mission-driven people doing important work inside systems that weren't built to support them.
That's the gap I built The Brittney Agency to close.
I help healthcare, public health, and human services leaders, founders, executive directors, and senior teams, build the operational backbone their mission actually needs. That means strategic plans that get implemented instead of shelved, SOPs and systems that reduce chaos instead of adding more meetings, and in my Fractional COO engagements, direct, hands-on operational leadership when an organization needs senior-level execution without the cost of a full-time hire.
My consulting delivery is modeled after the rigor of elite firms, but built for organizations and budgets those firms typically overlook: small to mid-sized healthcare businesses, nonprofits, and public health entities navigating regulatory complexity, workforce shortages, and funding pressure with limited internal capacity.
What guides my work: integrity, adaptability, equity, and follow-through. I believe a healthy community is a wealthy community, and that businesses operating with honesty and operational excellence ultimately serve their people, patients, and communities better. I do not believe in handing over a strategy deck and walking away; I partner through implementation, available to help translate strategy into action when you need it and out of your way when you don't.
If you're leading a healthcare, public health, or human services organization and you need a strategic partner who understands both the boardroom and the day-to-day operational reality, I'd love to talk.
