I am a native German with a passion for language. Being born, raised and educated in Germany, I have also lived in the US and in Turkey. I have grown to understand and appreciate the similarities and differences in their cultures, and I am also fluent in all three languages.

I like working, researching and reading in different fields to avoid monotony and keep my focus. As a positive side effect it provides me with an understanding of many different topics and a broad vocabulary.

I made my master's degrees in Business Administration in in American Language & Literature, because this combination was a hybrid of sober, down-to-earth calculations and more philosophical perspectives on life.

I work as a translator and language teacher so I can work and interact with people on some days, and recharge while working alone on my texts on others.

I am interested in reading and writing, in classical literature and sports, in farming and bar hopping, in peace and action, in solitude and company, in fishing and HIIT, in Jazz and Punk & Rock and so on.

This constant shifting affects pretty much every part of my life, except for two: my marriage and my work ethics. I am extremely reliable and devoted to my work (and my wife).

In other words: When I take a project, I take it seriously, I focus on it and deliver the results I promised in the time I promised to the price I promised.

Work Terms

I am available for both short- and long-term projects.
I prefer handling payments through guru.
I prefer emails or messaging through guru, because I can't answer the phone during my lessons. Arranging a time to speak via phone, Skype or online chat in advance is always possible.

I work full time as a translator and language teacher. Times and dates of my lessons and projects constantly vary, so I may not always be available at the same time of day.
However, when I take a new project, I don't make promises I can't keep and I always meet my deadlines.
My offers for projects reflect this: When I bid on a project, I give the maximum time within which I can guarantee my work to be finished with high quality, but I often hand my projects in before the maximum duration.
