Full-stack Developer (React, Next.js, Node.js) building web & mobile apps — now expanding into AI-powered and data-driven products.
I'm a Full-Stack Developer with 4+ years of experience building production web and mobile applications using React.js, Next.js, Node.js, React Native, and TypeScript. I currently lead frontend development at AFEX Commodities Exchange, and previously delivered client projects through contract roles at OvalSoft Technologies and Sahel AI.
My most recent major project is Komune, an African creator-fan video platform, where I served as frontend lead building two applications from the ground up: a fan-facing web app (Next.js, deployed on Vercel) and a creator mobile app (Expo/React Native, EAS Build), spanning nearly 40 screens combined. This covered everything from environment setup and deployment configuration, to component architecture, TypeScript type systems, API integration, and working within a small team using Git workflows and branch protection.
I came into software engineering from an unconventional path — a background in Geological Sciences — and taught myself to code from the ground up. That path shaped how I work: I learn fast, I don't need hand-holding, and I care about shipping things that actually work, not just things that look good in a demo.
I'm currently expanding into data science and applied AI, which means I bring a growing perspective on how frontend and data/AI systems fit together. Whether it's building the UI for an AI-powered product, integrating with LLM/AI APIs, or turning raw data into clean dashboards and visualizations, I can bridge both sides of the stack.

Work Terms
Availability: Currently working full-time, taking on freelance projects part-time/evenings and weekends (WAT, UTC+1). Happy to align on overlap hours for calls if needed.
Communication: I respond within 24 hours on weekdays. Preferred channels: Guru messages, or Slack/WhatsApp for active projects.
Process: For new projects, I start with a short discovery call or written brief to confirm scope, then share a timeline and milestones before work begins. For fixed-price projects, I break work into milestones with clear deliverables at each stage.
Payment: I work with Guru's SafePay for fixed-price agreements. For hourly work, I bill weekly. A deposit or first milestone payment is required before work begins on new client relationships.
Revisions: Minor revisions within the agreed scope are included. Changes outside the original scope will be quoted separately before work continues.
Code & handover: All code is delivered via a shared Git repository, with documentation on setup and structure included at project completion.
