Map making, Geographical Information Systems, Data Visualization, Geospatial Data Analysis... and everything in between.
I'm a zoologist and conservation biologist who found her passion in Geographical Information Systems. I started using this kind of software as a mandatory side-skill for my work field and ended up loving it. I'm currently working as a GIS technician in an environmental consultancy, using GIS software on a daily basis, and there is not a single day where I don't find myself learning something new.
A great part of my previous professional and academic experience has involved GIS analysis, map making and data visualization, using primarily QGIS software (although currently learning how to use ArcGis Pro). My experience with GIS includes, to a greater or lesser extent, knowledge on SQL, GDAL, GRASS, Python, LIDAR, satellite imagery, Excel, CAD and more. Even though I am the most familiar with projects regarding wildlife conservation, urban green areas and environmental science, I am open to other kinds of projects that can be approached with my current skills. I also enjoy learning new skills and thinking of new and different ways to approach a challenge.
Additionally, I translated a technical book on urban parks from Spanish to English. Even though I lack any specific translation studies, I may be able to complete certain jobs, especially those involving translating scientific and technical texts from English to Spanish.
