Hello 👋🏽, I am Jorge, a software developer, musician and dancer.
Since 2009 I have been working in the tech industry. I started as a software developer in a company located in Guadalajara, Mexico, and found out the possibilities that remote working could give me.
While working remotely in Guadalajara, I moved to France and Scotland during 2012 - 2015 to be in contact with different cultures and languages from all around the world. There, I learned proficient English and French, as well as many skills related to working with teams and building reliable software thanks to the MSc in Dependable Software Systems I graduated from.
In 2016 I got back to Guadalajara and started to work at Oracle as a full-stack developer till 2020. During this period I got interested in the crypto/blockchain ecosystem. While learning about Bitcoin, I learned about the importance of personal finance, a skill that nowadays I use to give Consulting and Speeches.
During 2020 till today, I have been on sabbatical. Which gave me the opportunity to take courses and practice on a diverse set of skills related to web development. I am interested in the gaming industry, web 3, arts and UX.
