My name is Míriam, I'm from Portugal and I'm passionate about animals. This along with the will to contribute for the conservation of wildlife led me to finish my master's degree in veterinary medicine.

Although I'm not currently practicing, the journey till I became a vet demanded of me responsibility, proactivity and productivity without letting it affect my level of commitment and performance. Skills I find extremely important as a translator. Fluency in English was essential for reading relevant articles, books and manuals about the most diverse subjects.

I've been working as a freelance translator since the beginning of 2019, working with international translation companies, but due to social volunteer I always had contact with Americans and people from a diversity of countries with whom I spoke English with. I also interpreted some lectures from English to Portuguese in the same context.

After I graduated, I spent 5 months in Brazil, this helped consolidate my Brazilian Portuguese.

On a more personal level I’m interested in topics as music, wellness, fitness, healthy eating, travelling, Nature, Documentaries, Movies, actors and actresses.
