...is a proud native of Chicago, born and raised on the Southside. Currently, Porter is studying personal finance and business at the University of Missouri in Columbia. Throughout high school he loved snapping photos of his friends hanging out and having fun. He expanded his medium to 35mm film through a program at Gallery37. He continued his hobby when he got to college taking photos at parties and concerts..

Porter’s hobby turned to a freelance career during in 2015 when he started Tyris Photography, out of demand for his services and a need to brand his craft. Friends began to ask him to capture school events like concerts, parties, and professional meetings. Other friends hired him to take graduation photos and headshots. A love for music and photography presented a great opportunity for him to shoot rap shows for underground artists which has become his favorite events to capture. During this time he also began to submit his work to photography blogs and social media sites where he continued to get great feedback and recognition. Throughout his career he continues to take photography classes at Mizzou to sharpen his skills. He keeps his Canon strapped, so If you ever run into him out and about, you better say cheese!
