Hi, I’m Saumya Joshi — A Passionate UI/UX Designer Turning Ideas into Meaningful Digital Experiences
About Me
Hi there! I’m Saumya Joshi, a UI/UX Designer with a background in pharmacy and a deep passion for creating meaningful, human-centered digital experiences.
My journey into design didn’t begin in the traditional way — I started in the world of science, learning about people, health, and the human body. But over time, I realized that what truly fascinated me wasn’t just how people heal, but how they interact, think, and feel.
That realization sparked a complete shift in my career path. I began exploring the world of design — specifically User Experience and User Interface design — and I was instantly drawn to its balance of creativity, logic, and empathy. It was like discovering the perfect mix of science and art — something that could improve lives in both subtle and powerful ways.
Today, I specialize in designing intuitive interfaces and delightful user journeys that make technology feel personal and effortless. My mission as a designer is simple:
“To craft experiences that not only look beautiful but also feel natural, purposeful, and empowering.”
I’m someone who learns fast, works passionately, and believes that every small detail — from a button’s color to a word’s tone — plays a role in shaping how users feel. Whether it’s an app that helps people remember to take their pills or a website that brings gamers closer to their passions, I see design as a language — one that speaks without words but connects deeply.
My Design Journey
My design journey officially began after completing my Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy. While studying healthcare, I developed a deep understanding of people’s behaviors — how they make decisions, what motivates them, and what frustrates them. This understanding became the foundation of my empathy as a designer.
But to transform that empathy into skill, I decided to formally study design. I completed the Google UX Design Professional Certificate, a globally recognized program that trained me in the complete UX process — from user research and ideation to prototyping and testing.
During that program, I learned to think critically about design problems and craft creative, data-driven solutions. I also practiced real-world UX case studies that simulated actual design projects — experiences that helped me grow both technically and strategically.
Later, I joined the Network School, where I had the incredible opportunity to collaborate with international designers, work on real design challenges, and learn through shared perspectives. This experience didn’t just strengthen my design process — it expanded my worldview. Working with people from different cultures helped me understand diverse user needs and taught me how to design inclusively.
Every step of this journey — from pharmacy to UX — has shaped how I see design. My background in healthcare gives me a human-centered mindset. My design educat
