I got into software engineering because I was fascinated by one thing: how money moves. Not the theory of it — the actual engineering challenge of making transactions happen reliably, securely, and instantly at scale. That curiosity turned into a career specializing in the hardest layer of fintech — the payment infrastructure that everything else depends on.
Over the years I've built PAX terminal integrations deployed in real restaurants and retail stores, Stripe payment flows handling live merchant transactions daily, real-time tracking systems using MQTT and WebSockets, multi-sided marketplace apps similar to Uber and DoorDash, AI agents and LLM integrations for business automation, and cross-platform mobile apps used by thousands of real users.
What I've learned is that the difference between a good developer and a great one isn't how fast they can build — it's how well they understand what breaks in production. Staging environments lie. Real users have bad WiFi. They switch apps mid-payment. They lose signal at checkout. I build for those moments — not just the happy path.
