User Experience (UX) issues in healthcare are underexplored but ever increasing due to the non-stop progress and adaptation by our healthcare systems of new technology and e-devices. Add in the general and complex interaction between clinicians, hospital systems and patients utilizing these devices along with various other hardware/ software and it can be a real mess of interoperability and patient/clinician confusion. All of these issues deal with the user experience and usability in the choices made regarding product design, implementation & customization. Improving the user experience for clinicians and patients is necessary due to the impact on patient care as well as physician and clinician satisfaction.
