I didn't get into data just because it's a trending field. I got into it because I love the puzzle of it taking a chaotic spreadsheet or a database full of numbers and finding the thread that makes everything make sense. Whether that's building a Power BI dashboard that gives a business owner their first real view of what's happening in their operations, or writing Python scripts that clean and analyze data to surface patterns nobody had spotted before that's the kind of work that gets me excited.
Over the past couple of years, I've worked across the full data workflow: pulling and cleaning raw data, modeling it properly, running statistical analysis, and finally presenting it in a way that non-technical stakeholders can actually act on. My main tools are Power BI (including DAX and Power Query), Python (Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, Seaborn), SQL, and Excel and I know how to pick the right one for the job rather than forcing everything through the same pipe.
My most recent project was a full-stack mobile app for a thread retail store built as my final-year BS Data Science project where I integrated an AI vision pipeline (using Claude's API) to scan shelf photographs and flag missing stock a real business was going to use it, which meant it had to actually work reliably. That kind of real-world accountability is something I bring to every project.
