About

Java & Spring Boot developer. I build REST APIs, batch pipelines and the test tooling that keeps them reliable. Oracle Certified Professional, Java SE 17.

I build backend systems in Java and Spring Boot, and the tooling that keeps them reliable.

I hold a State Engineering degree in Computer Science from ENSA Oujda and I am an Oracle Certified Professional, Java SE 17. I spent six months at Capgemini on a production RFID traceability system tracking industrial textile assets from plant to customer site - the kind of system where a defect means a customer gets invoiced for something they never lost.

I delivered three things there. A Spring Batch job that consumes inventory events from a Solace message bus and integrates them into a Sybase repository every five minutes, with a business rule engine, error classification, retry policies and alerting on failure. A Java simulator of a physical RFID reader - a multi-threaded TCP socket server with an internal state machine and a Swing control panel - which replaced the hardware during the QA phase, gave every tester their own virtual device, and made failure scenarios injectable on demand. And the Azure DevOps pipelines, SonarQube quality gates and Jira automation that went with them.

I also build full-stack applications with React.js, Next.js and Symfony, containerised with Docker, and I have shipped projects using Keycloak, PostgreSQL and MapStruct.

What I care about in a project is that it still works six months later, when someone else has to change it. That means tests, readable code, and a README that actually explains how to run the thing.

I am fluent in English and French, and based in Morocco - the same time zone as Western Europe, so we are online during the same hours.

Work Terms

AVAILABILITY
I work Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 18:00 GMT+1 - the same working hours as Western Europe. Calls in English or French. I reply to messages within a few hours on working days.

HOW I RUN A PROJECT
Before starting, I send you a written scope: what is included, what is not, the delivery date and the price. If the scope changes during the project, I tell you what it costs before doing the work, never after.

I send a short progress update at least twice a week without you having to ask, and I deliver working code you can run yourself - not screenshots.

PAYMENT
I work through Guru SafePay. For fixed-price projects I split the work into milestones, so you only release payment for what has been delivered and accepted. For hourly work I use the Guru time tracker.

REVISIONS
Two rounds of revisions are included in every fixed-price quote, as long as they stay within the agreed scope.

CODE AND OWNERSHIP
You own the code. I deliver it in your repository with a README explaining how to build, configure and run it, so you or another developer can take over at any time.
