Work Terms
RATES (rates for GURU clients only):
• Tier One (book layout/design, basic typesetting, proofreading, simple graphics):

**** Voiceover Acting/Announcing: Per SAG/AFTRA scale (client must be a SAG signatory for projects under SAG/AFTRA jurisdiction.)
TERMS:
Day discount based on 8 hours, week discount based on 40 hours. Day and week rates must be agreed to before contract is agreed, and shall not be prorated.
OVERTIME: When exceeding 8 hours in a day or 40 hours in a week, overtime is charged as the BASE hourly rate times 1.5, not including a day or week discount. Hourly rate is times 2 when exceeding 12 hours in a day or 60 hours in a 7 day period.
RUSH JOBS: Rush priority is the hourly rate times 2.
FIXED RATE JOBS: there MUST be clear communication regarding the expectations on fixed price jobs, ideally via Skype, before acceptance.
DELIVERABLES, BACKGROUND TECHNOLOGY, and WORK PRODUCT: Quotes are for final output files only. Quotes do not include delivery of proprietary or work product items such as fonts, plug-ins, scripts, application files, project files, camera RAW files, or other work product, unless specifically enumerated in the quote or agreement.
PORTFOLIO and NDA: I generally retain the right to use any work created to be displayed in my portfolio or to future clients as an example of my work. Of course this does not apply to projects where there is a nondisclosure agreement. If we execute an NDA, the NDA will specify if and when any public release of images or examples can be made.
