About

Author-led PR for brands whose audience knows the difference

I'm Franz, a horology author and communications specialist.
I've published four books on watches and the watch industry, built and led collector communities, and spent years turning technical and heritage subjects into stories that journalists, enthusiasts, and buyers actually trust. I work with watch, design, luxury, and collector-focused brands and founders who want communication with genuine subject authority — not recycled marketing copy. My approach is analytical, accurate, and discreet.

Work Terms

How I work:

Every engagement starts with a short briefing — call or written brief — so we're aligned on goals, scope, and timeline before any work begins.
I quote fixed-price where the scope is clear, or hourly for ongoing and advisory work. Larger projects are split into milestones.
Communication is clear and responsive, with agreed check-ins rather than constant back-and-forth.
Project quotes include up to two rounds of revisions within the agreed scope; additional rounds or scope changes are quoted separately.
Payment follows Guru SafePay: funds held in escrow and released on milestone approval. Hourly work is billed against tracked time.
Discretion is standard. I'm happy to sign an NDA and treat all client information as confidential — especially in sensitive or reputational situations.
I only take on work I can deliver well. If something falls outside my expertise, I'll tell you upfront.
