I started in Online Marketing and Digital Communications over 20 years ago, in 2004, when I opened my first online retail store. In order to promote this property, I developed an early-stage content marketing strategy. This was successful, and I soon opened several other retail properties, as well as a B2B business.
Eventually, I decided I liked the marketing and writing better, so I started consulting. Over the years, I've worked with companies such as Everyday Health, Planned Parenthood, The Latin American Dialogue and numerous retail and B2B businesses. I spent several years as a staff writer for About.com, which was owned by the New York Times.
I then got involved with a nonprofit, Women Who Code, which I helped grow from two people to twenty-five in ten years. There I wrote a weekly newsletter with over 100,000 subscribers, handled social media accounts with over 250,000 followers, wrote hundreds of blogs, and created a podcast with 230 episodes.
I continue to do freelance writing, marketing, SEO, strategy, and audio / video consulting. Please let me know if you have any questions. I look forward to hearing about your project.
