Data Entry

$5/hr Starting at $200

A Data Entry Specialist is responsible for accurately inputting, updating, and maintaining data across various systems and databases. This role is essential in ensuring that organizations have reliable, well-organized, and secure information to support daily operations, decision-making, and long-term planning.

In this position, I would handle large volumes of information with a strong focus on precision, efficiency, and confidentiality. My primary responsibility would be to enter data from multiple sources—such as physical documents, digital files, forms, or spreadsheets—into company databases or software systems. This requires careful attention to detail to ensure that all entries are correct, complete, and consistent with the original source.

I would regularly review and verify data for errors, inconsistencies, or missing information. When discrepancies arise, I would investigate and correct them promptly, often by cross-checking with original documents or communicating with team members. Maintaining high data accuracy is a core aspect of this role, as even small mistakes can impact business operations.

In addition to data entry, I would be responsible for organizing and managing digital records. This includes properly formatting files, categorizing information, and maintaining a logical filing system so that data can be easily retrieved when needed. I may also update existing records, delete outdated information, and ensure that all data complies with company standards and guidelines.
